About KKHSOU
The university was established under the Act 2005 enacted by the Government of Assam and also its is recognized by the Distance Education Council, New Delhi dated 3 October 2007. Also the university is empowered by The University Grants Commission vide its letter No. F.9-13/2008(CPP-I) dated 18th March 2009 to award degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. Headquarters of this University is situated at House-fed Complex, Last Gate, Dispur, Guwahati. This is the 14th of its kind of university along with IGNOU in all over India and he it started functioning with the joining of Prof. Srinath Baruah, former Professor, Department of Economics, Guwahati University, as the Vice-Chancellor of the university.
