NIFT 2014 Entrance Exam News and Updates

NIFT 2014 entrance exam is for the candidates who are willing to seek admission at 16 various National Institutes of Fashion Technology across the nations. The candidates aspire to seek admission for Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fashion Technology in apparel production, Master of Design, Master of Fashion Management and Master of Fashion Technology. The Bachelor of Design course comprises of various programs like accessory design, fashion communication, fashion design, knitwear design, leather design and textile design.

Eligibility

The candidates who are willing to seek admission in the Bachelor degree programs like Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Fashion Technology should have passed their 12th Std. board examination or, any other equivalent examination prescribed by their respective boards. The candidates seeking admission in Bachelor of Fashion Technology must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their intermediate level. Students from foreign countries should have cleared their General Certificate Examination at the advanced A level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics /International Baccalaureate. The candidate applying for the master degree courses should hold an undergraduate degree from any institute or, university recognized by law in India or diploma in UG Design from NIFT or, NID only and undergraduate diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT or, NID.

Important Dates of Examination

The application procedure for this examination is online. The admit cards are also available online on the official website. The examination consists of both the modes: online and offline. The offline paper-based test 1 is scheduled on 9th February, 2014. The date for paper-based test 2 is 23rd February, 2014. The date for the online computer based test is 23rd February.

About NIFT 2014

The total duration of the test is three hours. Each question consists of 1 mark and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. The test consists of questions from General Ability and Common Aptitude; and situation test also. GDPI is conducted for admissions to the Master Degree Courses.
